Yes, I have floor plans for the barn and dimensions for the yard for ceremonies.
There is a private road and a large lighted parking lot.
I have compiled a list of the best vendors in the area to make the process easier for you, but it is your choice whether you choose from the list or not. the G&G vendor list.
Yes. I work with a number of different bars and restaurants who have their own liquor license who are indicated on the the G&G vendor list. If you would like another bar or restaurant to handle the alcohol that's not a problem as long as they meet the requirements for serving alcohol.
It's possible but it's unlikely to have a Friday or Saturday that's not booked. If for some reason a Friday or Saturday remains unbooked 30 days prior to the date, I would then open it up to being booked for the barn only. I only rent the barn separately on Sundays and weekdays .
I will rent the house separately depending on when but unless it's out of the wedding season there could be a surcharge for NOT renting the barn .
Chairs, tables, linens and tents are not included. Those can be rented at the rental companies that I have included on the website under “Preferred Vendors”.
The payment plan is set up so that you can pay the total in two installments.
The deposit is $700. It is due at the time of booking. It is non-refundable if you decide to cancel. If there are no damages to the property at the end of your stay - it is refunded (usually within 10 business days).
No. There is no additional charge.
As long as you are renting the house - you can use the event space.

Yes. You may supply your own beer and wine without a licensed vendor as long as you have wedding or event insurance that covers the liability. A good tip to know is that you may already have this type of liability insurance on your Home Owners Insurance. Ask your insurance agent.
The barn has a prep kitchen which has a commercial size sink, a refrigerator, and freezer in it. There is no fire of any kind allowed in the barn - it’s from the 1870’s. It’s set up so that the caterers can pitch their cooking tent right outside the prep kitchen
The prep kitchen has 2 refrigerators, freezer, running water, and a 3 bin commercial sink for rinsing dishes and silverware, There is a separate entrance way to the prep kitchen for caterers which is direct access to their cooking tent if they choose to have one.
There are no bathrooms in the barn. There are portable restrooms and restroom trailers available for rent by a local company called Drain Brain. 607-583-3307. They come in a wide variety & range of comfort and prices. Wheelchair accessible units are also available. Please call them or another company of your choice to make arrangements. Guests who are not staying in the house must use the portable restrooms.
Yes. I've spared no expense on the electrical. The barn has enough power for pretty much anything you might want to do.
No. There is NO SMOKING in the barn!!!! There are strict insurance policy regulations regarding this. It will be up to the wedding party to make sure all your guests comply with that rule. Failure to do so could affect your return deposit. Smoking is permitted on the premises away from the buildings.
The house, house bathrooms, pool and hot tub are restricted to guests who are staying in the house ONLY. The hot tub is not made for more than four people at a time. Any more can result in damage to the hot tub and a loss of deposit.

You rent that separately.
There is no air conditioning but there are french doors high up at each end of the barn. Having these open has proven to keep the barn cool in some of the hottest weather.
Yes, All parties are required to have wedding or event insurance. Wedding or event insurance is quite reasonable for the day. If you have "Home Owners" insurance you may already be covered for this ( check with your insurance company for pricing)
Most people check in on a Friday - The check-in to the house is at 3:00pm On the day of check in you can be in the barn at noon decorating and setting up for the weekend. The weekend activities can include whatever you like: The rehearsal dinner, the wedding, cocktail hour, the wedding reception and dinner, dancing & music. Even brunch the next morning for the guests.

Since Gratitude & Grace is a different type of wedding venue that offers a unique experience, I wanted the music to reflect that as wellI so I put the "Gratitude & Grace House Band" together. Its high-quality dance music that I feel will give people the time of their life! Also, if you hire a band or DJ, when they are finished are they take the sound system with them. With the house band, the sound system stays and you can keep the party going long after the band has stopped playing.
No. If you decide not to...there are other competent musicians and DJ's in the Ithaca area. I know all of them and I'd be happy to talk to you about your specific musical needs and help you come up with the best choice.
Yes. I can recommend caterers, photographers, bands, DJ's. etc. Although, if you need someone to handle all the details you might want to consider an event or wedding planner.
I have provided trash and recycle dumpsters which are close to the barn. You and your party are responsible for picking up all trash and recyclable materials and making sure it gets in its proper container.
